December 16th 2021 PST

Hi all! Looking forward to seeing some of you this Saturday at my Carolling Tin Can street fundraiser for Vancouver Rape Relief and Women's Shelter!Times being what they are (oh my, Omicron!), I'm officially tightening up the safety protocols for the event. Mainly just bumping up my "suggestions" to "requirements", to help ensure that everyone - both those singing out and those being sung at - feel safe and secure. So if you're coming by, please:[*]Wear a mask at all times[*]Keep at le ...Continue Reading

Addendum re COVID safety for Carolling Tin Can event

December 10th 2021 PST

Hi all! Quick followup to my earlier email about the singing / fundraising event on the 18th. Being an outside, open-air event, I had assumed COVID safety wasn't a concern, but of course, given that people will be singing in close proximity, being double-vaxxed will need to be a baseline requirement.  This probably goes without saying but if you'd like to "strike the harp and join the chorus", please ensure you're fully vaxxed. And if you're more comfortable wearing a mask, by all means do s ...Continue Reading

My music-video pandemic parody - "The Way We Were"!

June 11th 2020 PST

...the newsletter A timely song parody: “The Way We Were” It’s been a while, but I was seized with an idea a few weeks back – one of those ideas that takes hold of me and I just have to follow it through. This is the result – a song parody in which I harken back wistfully to that long-ago time, three whole months ago… when the world was a very different place. All to the tune of the Barbra Streisand classic. Enjoy! And please share widely! Thanks to: [*]Sarah Jaysmith – my remarkably ...Continue Reading
