Hi gang!

Here's one of my occasional AdamAbrams com updates, to let you know that I'll be appearing in a great musical theatre piece, "CHESS", at the Roundhouse next week!

Featuring music by Benny Anderson & Bjorn Ulvaeus (the BB of ABBA), and lyics by Time Rice, CHESS is a vibrant and dramatic musical using a diverse selection of musical styles to create an East-meets-West love triangle in the fiercely competitive globetrotting world of Grand Master Chess

From what I've seen in rehearsals, I can tell you that there is some truly electrifying singing and high drama in this show I'm in the chorus, but also have a handful of small speaking parts Look for my brief-but-memorable appearances as "Man" "Other Man" "Reporter" and "Embassy Man," plus a funny musical bit as the "Merchandiser"!

The show is being produced by APPLAUSE! Musicals in Concert These folks find great shows that are lesser-known or which might never be performed locally, and put them onstage in stripped-down, on-book performances that give audiences a chance to see and hear them live The emphasis is on the music, but there's still enough stagecraft, costumes and the like to bring the story dramatically to life The most incredible part: instead of months of rehearsal, we do it all in one intensive week! A lot of incredible talents give their all to make this happen (this evening we're even working with a two-time Emmy-winning choreographer!) The result is a big-time theatre experience for a small price - tickets are just $10
