Dec. 12, Join me for the “10th Anniversary Edition” Holiday Sing-Along for a Women’s Shelter!

It’s that time again – your opportunity to support a great cause with only your voice! Yes, it’s my annual Holiday Sing-Along and Fundraiser for Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter!

And can you believe, this is the 10th anniversary of the event. Wow – can’t believe it’s a decade!

As most of you know, each year VRRWS helps hundreds of women and their children who are escaping violence by offering them a safe haven and many kinds of assistance.

I volunteer for this them in a fundraising capacity, participating regularly in their street fundraising event and gathering contributions from the community to help keep the shelter operating. I started the “Musical Holiday Version” of this event in 2005, and it’s always a fun and extra-festive afternoon. Especially if you’re going to be in the downtown area doing some holiday shopping, I hope you can drop by and lend your voice for a little while. (Songbooks will be provided!)

DAY: Saturday, December 12

TIME: I’ll be on the street from 10:15 to 1:30 and 2 to 4 (Note our absence for a lunch break from 1:30 to 2!)

LOCATION: Georgia and Granville (Either in front of The Bay or London Drugs – look for our yellow placards!)
