Including Bruno Hubert, Kevin Finseth, Itamar Erez, CR Avery, Roisin Adams, Tom Arntzen. Refreshments and the delightful Highlife oasis vibe. 
Frankie’s Jazz Club – Monk’s Music, The Centennial Celebration featuring Cat TorenOctober 10, 2017 8:00 pmBrooklyn-based pianist Cat Toren collaborates with local drummer Dan Gaucher to celebrate Thelonious Sphere Monk’s 100th birthday. Toren and Gaucher have led separate Monk inspired groups in Vancouver, New York, and Toronto. To mark the centennial, they will be joined by Kevin Elaschuk trumpet, Dave Say woodwinds, Dave Sikula guitar, and James Meger bass. The life and music of Thelonious Monk will be honoured as the musicians perform both classic and modern arrangements from solo piano to full ensemble. $15 cover charge. |
