Jeni’s Picks for the week aheadDear Picks People, This list is the best I can manage this week with a very heavy heart. Loss to our local music community seems to be the catchword for 2019 thus far. Attended the moving memorial of guitarist David Sinclair three days ago. Today heard about the beyond tragic death of young singer Natasha D’Agostino. RIP to both. This song from Natasha’s latest album seems most appropriate. Please visit my website for additions as the week progresses. LJ Mounteney has been exercising her powerful, unique voice from an early age. LJ combines a bluesy sound, keen musicianship and a commanding stage presence while she takes her listeners through a wide variety of styles rooted in jazz and blues. Mounteney produced her first album, Here in the Dark, in 2017 which has been receiving radio play on CBC, CITR, Pacific Northwest Radio and Coop Radio.
