2020 PuSh International Performing Arts Festival January 21 – February 9

The PuSh International Performing Arts Festival is one of Vancouver’s signature events. Produced over three weeks each January, the PuSh Festival presents groundbreaking work in the live performing arts The Festival is a broker of international partnerships, a meeting place for creative minds, a showcase of Canada’s best and an incubator of brilliant new work. The Annex -Little Volcano | Veda Hille with Theatre Replacement

This event runs from January 21, 2020 until January 23, 2020.

A Music on Main presentation. Featuring: Veda Hille, piano and voice Little Volcano – half concert, half storytelling. Pianist and songwriter Veda Hille combines music and storytelling in this intensely personal performance. An autobiographical take on love, death, and survival which is heartbreaking, inspiring, and uplifting all at once. Tickets $39-$15

The first Incite event of the year, featuring a genre-blurring poetry debut from Chantal Gibson (How She Read) alongside new collections from award-winning writers Jennica Harper (Bounce House), Alex Leslie (Vancouver for Beginners) and Hasan Namir (War/Torn), moderated by Shazia Hafiz Ramji Chantal Gibson is an artist-educator living in Vancouver with ancestral roots in Nova Scotia. Jennica Harper is the author of four books of poetry and she writes for TV. Alex Leslie is a multi award winning author who was born and lives in Vancouver. Hasan Namir, an Iraqi-Canadian author. War/Torn (Book*hug, 2019) is his latest poetry book.
