Musicals In Concert presents The Baker's Wife.
Directed by Peter Jorgensen, with Music Direction by Kevin
Michael Cripps.
A new baker arrives in a rural French village just in time to ease the hunger
of the bickering villagers who have been without bread for weeks. All is well
until his beautiful young wife runs off with the local hunk, driving the baker
to distraction, and leaving the villagers breadless - again.
Having closed before reaching Broadway in 1976, The Baker's Wife features a ravishing
score about love, lust, revenge, and bread by Stephen Schwartz who has contributed
music and/or lyrics to Godspell, Pippin, The Magic Show, Working, Personals,
Rags and Children of Eden. He has also collaborated on the scores for the films
Pocahontas & The Hunchback of Notre Dame and wrote the songs for The Prince
of Egypt. The Baker's Wife book writer, Joseph
Stein also wrote the book for
Fiddler On The Roof, Rags, Zorba, Irene, Juno, Mr. Wonderful and Plain
and Fancy. |

I'm
Moving...
As
of September, I'll be living in a new place. Didn't plan
on moving (love the place I'm currently in), but the owners
sold the house we were renting in... long story short,
I'm moving! Only about 5 minutes from where I'm at now.
Thank goodness! |

Did
Some Filming...
In
July I filmed some fun summertime dockside scenes for
the Good
Morning World music
video with Second
Impact Entertainment. The song comes from UK artist,
Alone.
It was a great time, and I enjoyed working with director/producer
Gregory Milne. |

Did
Some More Filming (and Singing!)...
I
took part in my first Reelfast 48 Hour Film Festival! This
is a contest where you write, shoot, and edit a film of
10 minutes or less, all within 48 hours. It was a lot of
fun, and yes, very tiring.
I was brought on board as an actor, and once the producer/director found out
I could sing, they turned my character into a singer. In about an hour and
a half, two other team members, and myself, wrote a song for the film. I performed
the song on film, backed up by an amazing guitar player, Fernando. Singing
at 5:00 am (without having gone to bed) has never been such an experience. |

I
Have New Representation...
After
being a free agent for a couple of months, I decided it was
time to get my butt in gear and see what was out there. So
I did some research and submitted my acting package to a few
agencies. Funnily enough, at the
same
time,
my ex-agent called me for a meeting, and asked me to
join back on with the agency. After my agent meetings, I decided
that a fresh start with a new agent was the best thing for
me.
I'm happy to now be represented by Lloyd Talent,
and to work with agents Lissa Lloyd and Edward
Rea.
And I thank you, Jay, for your continued enthusiasm and support
of me. |
