VERVE COLLECTIVE SINGS AT THE PURPLE CRAB
I am so excited to announce that my a cappella group, VERVE
Collective, has a gig in November! We will be singing at
The Purple Crab, a cool restaurant in Vancouver. They have
an open mike series and they've asked our group to take
part.
Here
are the details:
• Sat, Nov. 25th
• The Purple Crab -
3916 Main Street (at 23rd)
• Reservations: (604) 484-2436
• We're singing from 8:00 - 9:00 pm
• There's no cover charge!
Stay afterwards for a drink and a chat. And if you're into it,
another group goes on at 9:30 pm. It will be a fun night of
drinks & friends, and a good chance to hear some great music
in a fun atmosphere. Let me know if you can make it!

FRIDAY,
NOV 3rd
"RISE OF THE KITARA" SCREENS AT THE VANCOUVER ASIAN FILM FESTIVAL
Since the 10 minute movie we made for the Mighty Asian Moviemaking
Marathon placed 2nd, it earned a spot in the 10th annual
Vancouver Asian Film Festival, which runs Nov 1 - 5th. Our movie
was created, shot, and edited within 7 days, producing "Rise
of the Kitara" and will be shown on
Friday, Nov 3rd, at Tinseltown! It will be screened along other film
contest submissions and winners. Screening time is 5:00 pm. Online
ticket sales started yesterday (Oct 18th). For information and tickets,
