Happy
New Year! I can't believe it's already 2009... where
does the time go? 2008 finished up quite nicely, as I shot
two commercials
in December (yay!), had some great holiday time with family, and
helped my very good friend with her beautiful winter wedding! Ending
2008 and starting 2009 surrounded by love and good friends...
well, what a way to ring in the new year!

And
speaking of ringing in the new year, I've got a gig coming
up that I hope
you can make it to! My a cappella group, VERVE
Collective,
will be doing a public show
on
Thurs, Jan 15th at Our Town Café (E
Broadway & Kingsway). Most of our performances have been
for private functions, including
doing
the game opening
anthem
for the
Vancouver Giants in December (and I think they liked us, because
they've booked us back for games in Feb & March!) so we're very
excited to do this show for our friends.
Kate Polsky (our group's founder) will be doing a solo
set at 7:30pm, then we'll follow at 8:30pm. I hope you can make
it out - we're singing about 45 minutes of our favourite stuff
and I'd love for you to hear it. After we sing will be a great
chance to catch up, too! :)
