These chickens really have something to cackle over in THE MOO-SICAL.

These chickens really have something to cackle over in THE MOO-SICAL.

Hang onto your hats, musical theatre fans – the Vancouver Musical Theatre Calendar has undergone some BIG changes. That’s right: it’s time for VancouverMusicals.com version 2.0!

Featuring a revamped look (a hint of which you’re seeing in this email) and expanded content, the VMTC is now much more of a complete information portal for local musical theatre. You’ll now find articles, show previews, artist profiles, links to relevant local news articles and blog postings, and more.

Just posted to the site is a short article by director Ryan Mooney on his upcoming production of Forbidden Broadway!

Even better, in the true spirit of the modern-day web, YOU can contribute! Send me an article about an upcoming show… a review of something you’ve seen… an interview with someone onstage or backstage in the Vancouver theatre scene… your thoughts and opinions on anything that’s musical-theatre related!

And you can always share a comment on any article you find on the site. Join the conversation!

As always, of course, the calendar itself is the heart and soul of VancouverMusicals.com – and it’s been slightly restyled and given its appropriate spot right on the homepage. Just click “Calendar” on the menu from anywhere else on the site to return to it.

New on the calendar

I’ve just added two upcoming shows:

  • Forbidden Broadway
Fighting Chance productions presents this affectionate spoof of all things Broadway. Coming in January!
  • The Wedding Singer
Based on the hit Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore movie, The Wedding Singer is a tribute to all things 80s. A lively cast of 20 and a full band will entertain you as Robbie Hart discovers love! Coming in April.

And don’t forget The MOO-sical, the annual December hilarity from The Broadway Chorus, December 16, 17 and 19! Check the Calendar for full details on these and other upcoming shows.

I hope you’ll enjoy the new VancouverMusicals.com – and I look forward to your comments and feedback!

Thanks,

Adam Abrams
