In which I finally part ways with my incredible non-reversing Oldsmobile. When took it in for its annual AirCare emissions test, it failed - but I also learned about the "Scrap-It Program", whereby your AirCare-failing car can be turned in for salvage, in exchange for a variety of goodies, including up to $500 in matching funds toward a new bike! Since, what with the water leaks and non-functioning reverse gear, I'd be lucky to get $5 for this car, I jumped at the offer. (I was also long overdue for a new bike to replace my weather-beaten old model.) Here's a look at my last day with the Olds.
