I’m excited to officially announce that I’ll be appearing this holiday season in
Hanukkah in Chelm, a fun-filled fable presented by
Kol Halev Performance Ensemble in partnersip with the
Jewish Museum and Archives of BC.
In this whimsical tale, the villagers of Chelm try to get Hanukkah to last all year long instead of just eight days. A suggestion from Fievel, the fishmonger (played by me!) sets events in motion. Needless to say, complications and hilarity ensue, along with folk and tap dancing… and more than a touch of magic!
Hannukah in Chelm is a brand-new musical comedy, featuring original songs and choreography. It’s holiday fun for the whole
mishpacha! (that’s “family”, for the Yiddishly challenged!)
Chelm will be performed at the
Peretz Centre for Secular Jewish Culture on Sunday, November 28. Showtime is 2pm. Hope to see you there!
For tickets and info, contact the Peretz Centre at (604) 325-1812.
