Join or pledge for my Walk for Rape Relief on May 28!

Max at one year old, attending his first Walkathon in 2012!
I’m happy to report that I’m participating again in the fundraising Walk for Vancouver Rape Relief this year, on Sunday, May 28th! And I hope you’ll consider making a donation to help this awesome organization keep doing what they do – provide shelter and support to women escaping violence. Many of you have pledged in past years, and I am ever-grateful for your support. I hope you’re able to keep the tradition going with another pledge this year. If you’re able to pitch in, you can do so very easily – just visit my online pledge page:

Finally, if you’d like to join me, Christine and Max at the event, why not walk too and we’ll be a team? It’s a fun day with a picnic lunch and live musical entertainment afterwards. All the info you need is right here.

An insightful interview

This year, I wanted to share this interview with Lynn Zimmer, co-creator of the first shelter for abused women and their children in Toronto in 1973. I heard it on CBC radio the other day, and she really touched on many of the key issues and principles around shelters such as VRR’s (which has also been operating since ’73!). Regardless of whether you can pledge, or walk, this time, I appreciate your time and attention and wish you all the best! Thanks, Adam
