CANstruction display 2009 – from soup to aliens (and a real train)

CANstruction 2009 For the first time, I finally made it out to the CANstruction sculpture display on its final day at the new Vancouver convention centre. Teams create whimsical constructions out of donated cans (and other packages) of food. The results ranged from head-scratchingly obscure to remarkably inventive and fun. Afterward, I discovered evidence of the otherwise under-the-radar Liberal convention, happening at the same time but invisible to the public. View a slideshow. But wait – there’s more!
