Hey, what better way to spend the afternoon? I answered the call to join Charles Barber (of City Opera Vancouver) and Peter Fairchild (of the Pantages Theatre Arts Society) in delivering some special gifts to the new Mayor and City Council: bound books containing over 500 of the many hundreds of letters sent by people all over Vancouver, in support of the threatened Pantages Theatre restoration project. I not only got to meet our new mayor, Gregor Robertson, and many of the councillors, but I got to do it while dressed as an elf! Santa’s largest little helper, indeed. It was a blast!
