My podcast debut – talking about Canadian movies!
Well, there’s few things I enjoy more than a good in-depth chat about movies with a fellow film-lover. And that’s just what I was able to enjoy – twice! – as I joined my friend, movie buff William Lee, for his excellent Filmed In Canada podcast. Our first discussion, about Meatballs, is now online. Listen to it here!
(We also took a few moments to discuss the new Ghostbusters – it seemed appropriate since I’m such a fan of the original that 30 years ago, I hand-built my own GB costume, complete with proton pack!)
I’m pleased to say that Filmed in Canada is a great listen, with funny and insightful guests. Even if I didn’t already know William, I’d be a regular listener. I was honoured to be asked to join him to discuss two very different Canadian classics (and two about which I felt I’d have something meaningful to say!) – Meatballs, and The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz. The Meatballs episode is now online, so give a listen and let me know what you think!
