My debut on “Psych”: Wednesday, Feb. 26!

msiKyQxAQWCWWDgkUTjn-10 I’m thrilled to announce that my appearance on Psych, the longest-running series on the USA cable network, is airing on Feb. 26! Unfortunately, the series is currently only airing in the US, with no Canadian air dates. (Global carries it as well, but they won’t start showing this season until July.) So, it’s only my friends and family south of the border that will see this, at least for now. I hope to arrange to see it sooner if possible, though (anyone who can digitally record it, please let me know!). The air date is Wednesday, February 26 at 9pm on the USA Network. This comedic crime drama stars James Roday as Shawn Spencer, who combines his photographic memory with the observational and investigative skills that his father ingrained in him during childhood to fake being a psychic who consults with the Santa Barbara Police Department to solve cases, as well as running a psychic detective agency called Psych. He generally works with police detectives Carlton Lassiter (Timothy Omundson) and Juliet O’Hara (Maggie Lawson) and under the direction of Police Chief Karen Vick (Kirsten Nelson). Appearing in a show like this means signing an “NDA” – a nondisclosure agreement – that you won’t reveal any details about the script. However, I think it’s pretty safe to share this official synopsis of my episode: Lassiter is determined to be appointed Chief of Police, so he sets out to prove himself worthy of the job by solving the murder of the Mayor’s beloved uncle, Archie Baxter back in the 60s, a case that was never solved. Additionally mentioned on the Psych Wiki fan site – and clearly hinted at in the promo image above – is the fun fact that the leads play characters in 1967 flashbacks. And that’s where you’ll find me as well – as a “goon” or henchman accompanying 60’s crime boss “Rodney Caruso”! This was a non-speaking role, but I was right in the middle of the action for a couple of key scenes. One is always at the mercy of the editing, but I’m quite hopeful that my henchmanning will be clearly visible. We’ll see on the 26th!
